How to play Lucky Ducky: clusters and MergeUP

Lucky Ducky bet setup

Every round of Lucky Ducky starts with two decisions on the bottom panel, and both change the cost of your session.

Set your stake

Pick a bet with the plus and minus controls. It scales every payout in the round, so size it against your session budget rather than the size of the last win.

Chance x2 or Buy Bonus

Chance x2 doubles the odds of triggering free spins for a higher cost per spin. Buy Bonus pays for direct entry into the round instead, and disables Chance x2 while active.

Reading the cluster grid

The grid is 6 reels by 5 rows with no paylines at all. Identical symbols pay when they touch vertically or horizontally in a cluster.

• Clusters pay: adjacency decides the win, not a fixed line.
• MergeUP: after paying, those symbols merge into the next level up.
• Nine levels: each merge is a step towards the top symbols.

Scatters are the ninth-level symbol and can drop anywhere on the grid, which is why long merge chains and bonus triggers are linked.

Multiplier cells and free spins

Two mechanics decide how big a round gets, and they compound with each other.

x2 cells that stack

Any cell that produced a win is marked with a x2 multiplier. Every later win in that same cell adds to it, and the value can climb to x128.

Free spins counts

Landing 4, 5 or 6+ scatters awards 15, 18 or 20 free spins. More scatters during the round add 5, 8 or 10 spins. Multiplier cells persist through the round, which is where the ceiling gets interesting: see our strategy guide.
